NHS Youth Forum – giving young people a say on health services

There are various ways young people can get involved in supporting the NHS. One way is by joining one of our participation groups. These groups enable young people to share their expertise and lived experience to improve services and include initiatives such as Young Board Members, the NHS Youth Forum and the NHS Youth Advisory Network.

For more information on the roles and responsibilities of each group including some support on picking the right opportunity for you, please read application pack: NHS England » NHS Youth Forum and Youth Advisory Network recruitment pack

NHS Youth Forum

The NHS Youth Forum is made up of 25 young people from across the country. Members partner with policy leads at NHS England to deliver insights and recommendations on how to improve services for children and young people. The forum also gathers the views of other young people through surveys and discussion.

Previous projects have included reports on mental health, healthcare inequalities, the NHS’s use of social media and the NHS app. This opportunity may appeal to you if you want to get more involved in improving health services and develop skills including team working, public speaking and building self-confidence.
