We have developed some tools to help you communicate with patients:
Patient film
This film explains the role of clinical pharmacists to patients and the public. Using The Old School Pharmacy in Bristol as a case study, it clarifies when and why patients might see a clinical pharmacist and sees patients share their experiences. You may wish to display it on a screen in your GP surgery:
Patient leaflet
This leaflet explains to patients:
- what a clinical pharmacist is
- when and why they might see a clinical pharmacist
- what they should expect from an appointment
It is designed for you to display in your GP surgery and hand out or send to patients if they are seeing a clinical pharmacist for the first time. There are three versions of the leaflet:
- PDF with trim lines – this is the file you will need if you want to use a professional printer
- PDF without trim lines – you can print this file using an office printer
- Word version – use this version if you want to adapt the leaflet
- Easy read PDF with trim lines – this is the file you will need if you want to use a professional printer
- Easy read PDF for the web – this is the file you will need if you want to use an officer printer or if you are using it on-line (it is accessible to screen reader technology)
The leaflet is also available in the following languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, French, Gujarati, Punjabi, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Somali, Turkish, and Urdu. They are available in three versions:
PDF with trim lines– for use with a professional printer
PDF without trim lines– for use with an office printer
Web accessible – to display on your website; these files meet government accessibility standards for the web and can be read by screen readers for the visually impaired
