Does the care home need NHSmail to set up proxy access?

The care home must have a secure email system. NHSmail is recommended but there are other options.

Can we use the shared care home email to set up proxy access for staff?

No, individual email addresses must be used to set up individual accounts.

The care home email inbox should be used for the management of secure information sharing and communication between health and care professionals.

Each care home has one shared mailbox and up to ten individual email accounts.
