AHPs champion and promote diverse and inclusive leadership

  • Strengthening and promoting the AHP community: How could current and fu​ture leadership across the region be nurtured to represent the communities we serve?

AHPs in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills

  • People first​: How can innovative AHP and support worker roles be used to hold people at the heart of all health and care services?
  • Optimising care​: How could the workforce be better equipped to enhance care pathways to include early intervention, preventative healthcare, and public health approaches? ​
  • Social justice – addressing health and care inequalities: How can I support and promote equitable distribution of the AHP workforce and services across the region to support more equitable access to AHP services? ​
  • Environmental sustainability – Greener AHPs​: How could I promote the AHP workforce’s opportunities to engage in greener practice, including public health and preventative healthcare approaches and delivering on regional net zero priorities?
  • Strengthening and promoting the AHP community: How could I collaborate with current structures in the region, such as AHP councils, to celebrate and uphold the contributions AHPs provide to delivering quality care?

AHPs commit to research, innovation, and evaluation

  • Optimising care​: How could the benefits of AHPs working across clinical pathways be evidenced to promote best practice both within and outside of my region? ​
  • Social justice – addressing health and care inequalities: How could AHPs be supported to undertake research and apply quality improvement methodology to address health inequalities?
  • Environmental sustainability – Greener AHPs​: How could I support research and service improvement projects that innovate and integrate greener ways of working, and how do I share examples of greener AHP practice across my region and more widely?
  • Strengthening and promoting the AHP community: How could the entire AHP community be further empowered and supported be a research ready workforce as outlined in the Allied health professions’ research and innovation strategy for England?

AHPs can further harness digital technology and innovation through data

  • People first​: Is the digital infrastructure in place for AHPs to best meet the needs of the people and communities they support?
  • Optimising care​: How could existing or novel data be better used to inform optimised care provision in the region? ​
  • Social justice – addressing health and care inequalities: How could any regionally collected and monitored data be used to address health inequalities? ​
  • Environmental sustainability – Greener AHPs​: In what ways could I promote technological advances and environmentally sustainable use of technology to deliver greener AHP practice across the region?
  • Strengthening and promoting the AHP community: How could the AHP community be supported to be digitally literate, with a view to equitably supporting the regional population and each other?
