How feedback is helping to improve end of life care

Trust/Practice: Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust

This film shows how listening to feedback from patients and their families on End of Life Care has helped deliver a more dignified, compassionate and professional experience at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Staff in the trust, which provides acute healthcare in outer North East London, have redesigned their processes to make sure that the needs of dying patients and their bereaved relatives are at the heart of things. From the adoption of a daisy symbol that is used throughout the process to a one-stop centre for bereavement support and registration of the death, the trust has been able to change their culture and practices to give the best support at a difficult and sensitive time.
