The National Quarterly Pulse Survey (NQPS) first commenced in April 2021 for organisations that use the national pulse survey, the People Pulse. Since July 2021, all provider organisations are now required to roll out the survey on a quarterly basis (except quarter 3, to account for the annual NHS Staff Survey fieldwork period).
The NHS Standard Contract was amended in April 2022 to incorporate the NQPS requirement.
This document has been created to support trusts by answering frequently asked questions about the National Quarterly Pulse Survey.
