NHS lanyard

NHS lanyards should be produced on one of the acceptable background colours e.g. white, NHS Blue (with the NHS logo reversed out in white), pale grey or mid grey so that the NHS logo is highly visible.

As lanyards aren’t wide enough to fit an NHS organisation’s logo, the NHS logo should be used on its own. NHS organisations can include the name of their organisation in text on the lanyard if they wish, as shown in the example. The NHS logo must not be embedded in the name as a substitute for the letters ‘NHS’.

The NHS logo should never be used as a substitute within text

Some of the examples featured across this site may have been amended to illustrate how the guidelines should be applied.
