Stephanie Stanley

Stephanie Stanley, Consultant Podiatrist – Clinical and Professional Lead for Podiatry (IOW Division), Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Thirty-five years in the NHS is a remarkable milestone. For Stephanie Stanley, it reflects not just a career, but a deep and enduring commitment to the people she serves.

As Consultant Podiatrist and Clinical and Professional Lead for Podiatry on the Isle of Wight, Stephanie leads a dedicated team delivering specialist foot care to some of the most vulnerable people in the community. Her team includes podiatrists, podiatry degree apprentices and allied health associates, all working together to support mobility, independence and quality of life for high-risk individuals.

Much of Stephanie’s focus is on prevention. For people living with diabetes, foot complications can be life-changing, but with the right support, many can be avoided altogether. Stephanie’s service provides preventative screening, personalised risk assessments, education and self-care support, helping patients understand and manage their own health before problems escalate.

This work is a clear expression of the shift from sickness to prevention. By catching risk early, working closely with primary care colleagues, and empowering patients to take an active role in their own wellbeing, Stephanie and her team are reducing complications, preventing hospital admissions, and supporting people to stay well and independent in their own communities.

“I am very proud to be within my 35th year working in the NHS,” she says. “I truly value all that the NHS stands for, and believe we work to provide high quality care for those that need it the most.”

That pride shines through in everything Stephanie does, and in every patient who walks away healthier, more confident, and better equipped to care for themselves.
