National Pathology Quality Assurance Dashboard

Histopathology is a gateway diagnostic service that is critical to many elective pathways, including cancer. Performance data for histopathology are collected monthly through the National Pathology Quality Assurance Dashboard, which provides visibility of key pathology service quality measures across England.

The published metric shows the percentage of histopathology cases reported within 10 days of receipt, supporting timely diagnosis and treatment. Data are presented by NHS provider (acute and specialist NHS Trusts), Integrated Care Board (ICB) and region.
