Winter Reporting 2019-20

This winter, weekly updates will commence on Friday 13 December 2019 and will continue every Thursday thereafter through to the end of February 2020. (Final publication will be on Thursday 5 March 2020)

A daily return is being collected from acute trusts with a type 1 A&E department and we are continuing to publish these figures, including A&E closures and diverts, bed availability and occupancy rates, long stay patients and ambulance handover delays. Weekly NHS 111 indicators are being published alongside the trust data. As per last year, A&E performance will be published on a faster track than other performance indicators, published two weeks in arrears rather than six.

This page contains management data which has been collected on a rapid turn-round basis from the NHS. The speed of the collection only permits minimal validation to be undertaken but the data is considered ‘fit-for-purpose’.
